HealthTransfer converts supported Samsung Health export files and adds the records you select to Apple Health. Your health data stays on your iPhone.

Effective date: 25 October 2026

The short version

Information handled by the app

When you choose a Samsung Health export, HealthTransfer temporarily accesses the files you select so it can unpack, read, normalize, and import supported records. Those files may contain health and fitness information such as activity, workouts, routes, sleep, heart rate, energy, nutrition, and body measurements.

This processing occurs on your device. The developer does not receive or collect the contents of your files or the health records derived from them.

Account and operational information

HealthTransfer uses Sign in with Apple and Firebase Authentication to create and secure your account. Depending on the choices you make with Apple, the account may include an Apple-provided identifier, your name, and your email address or Apple private relay address.

To operate purchases, import limits, recovery, support, and product reliability, HealthTransfer may process limited operational information such as your account identifier, sign-in method, app version, platform, purchase or entitlement status, import start and completion events, file size, total records imported, aggregate counts by health category, and relevant timestamps.

This operational information does not include the contents of your Samsung export, individual health values, workout routes, or records read from Apple Health.

Apple Health

HealthTransfer requests permission to write only the Apple Health record types needed for the categories you select. Apple controls the permission sheet, and you can change access later in the Health app or iOS Settings.

Records written to Apple Health are managed by Apple Health. Depending on your Apple and iCloud settings, Apple may sync those records using its services. Apple’s handling of that data is governed by Apple’s policies, not this policy.

HealthTransfer does not use Apple Health data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or sale.

Local storage and deletion

HealthTransfer may copy selected archives into its private app container and retain limited job state so a long import can recover from interruption. The archive password is stored in a device-only Keychain item while needed and is not stored in the job file.

After a successful import, staged archives, unpacked files, and the stored archive password are removed. Limited non-health job metadata may remain locally when needed to represent completion or recovery state.

Deleting HealthTransfer removes data kept in its app container, but it does not remove records already added to Apple Health. You can manage those records in the Health app.

Network access and external links

HealthTransfer does not transmit your selected archives or parsed health records to a developer-operated server.

The app connects to Apple and Firebase services for sign-in, purchase verification, entitlement management, aggregate product metrics, and related security and reliability functions. Those providers may process technical information such as device, app, network, and diagnostic details under their own policies.

If you open an external tutorial or support link, your browser connects to that website in the ordinary way. The website provider may receive information normally associated with a web request, such as an IP address and browser details. HealthTransfer does not attach your archive or health records to that request.

Collection, tracking, and sharing

HealthTransfer uses Firebase services supplied by Google for authentication, operational storage, server functions, and privacy-conscious usage measurement. Product events and aggregate import counts help understand reliability and usage, but individual health readings and archive contents are not included.

HealthTransfer does not use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. It does not sell personal information and does not share health data with advertisers or data brokers.

Apple may make platform crash or diagnostic information available according to your Apple device settings and Apple’s policies.

Retention and account requests

Account and entitlement information is retained while needed to provide the service, prevent duplicate claims, resolve support issues, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. Aggregate statistics may be retained after they are no longer associated with a directly identifiable account.

To request access to or deletion of account information, contact HealthTransfer support. Removing the account does not remove records already written to Apple Health; manage those records in the Health app.

Children

HealthTransfer is not directed to children, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. HealthTransfer does not upload child health records or create advertising profiles.

Security

HealthTransfer relies on iOS app-container isolation, iOS file protection, the Keychain, and Apple Health authorization. No method of storage is completely risk-free, so keep your iPhone protected and handle exported health archives carefully.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if HealthTransfer’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
