Privacy & security

Your health files stay on your iPhone.

HealthTransfer was designed as an on-device migration utility. It reads the export you choose, converts supported records locally and asks Apple Health to save only the categories you approve.

Local processing

The selected archive and individual health measurements are not uploaded to a HealthTransfer health-data server.

Your permission

Apple presents the Health permission controls. The app cannot write a category you do not authorize.

No app profile

Version 1 has no HealthTransfer account, advertising SDK or developer-operated app analytics.

What happens to the export?

When you select an export, HealthTransfer may copy it into the app’s private iOS container, unpack it and keep a small local recovery checkpoint. Samsung Privacy passwords are held in a device-only Keychain item while required.

After a successful import, release builds remove staged archives, unpacked source files and the stored archive password. A limited local progress record may remain so the app can represent completion or recover interrupted work.

Which Apple Health permissions are requested?

HealthTransfer builds the request from the parameters you selected. Examples include Steps, Workouts, Sleep, Heart Rate, Body Mass and other compatible categories listed on the supported-data page. Apple controls the authorization sheet and allows access to be changed later.

Blood Pressure is not requested in the version 1 customer flow because its permission path was not reliable across the supported iOS versions.

What leaves the app?

Not sent to HealthTransfer

  • Samsung export archives
  • Health measurements or dates
  • Workout routes
  • Archive passwords

External services you choose

  • Apple handles App Store purchases and Apple Health according to its settings and policies.
  • Opening a tutorial or support link creates an ordinary web request, but the app does not attach health files or records.

Deletion and control

Deleting HealthTransfer removes its local app container but does not remove records already added to Apple Health. Apple Health remains the system of record after the transfer; individual HealthTransfer-sourced entries can be reviewed and managed there.

Version 1 does not include a one-tap rollback. HealthTransfer does not delete unrelated data created by Apple, another app or the user.

Website and support

The public website is separate from the iPhone import process and does not receive health archives. The current website contains no advertising tracker or account system. If you email support, the email address and message you send are received through the email provider; do not include health exports, passwords or private measurements.

HealthTransfer is independently developed and supported through support.healthtransfer@gmail.com. We usually aim to respond within two business days.
